Slag-Glass.com is where we will be publishing photos of our own slag glass collection and setting up categories to showcase preselected and prefiltered auction results.  Our goal is to build a site where it is easy for the novice glass collector to identify what glass they have, and get a good idea of what it is worth.

Sometimes it is applied to the whole surface. When it is only applied to a part of the object it will probably be called etched glass. On Ebay a search for "satin glass" returns confusing results because there are a lot of products with the words "glass" and "satin" in their titles that are not really the art glass we are looking for.

Satin-Glass.com is the website where we plan to publish information that will help with the identification and valuation of sating glass. We think we can incorporate filters into our automated searches which will eliminate most of the irrelevant items.

OpalescentGlass.com is the website where we will attempt to bring some organization to the opalescent glass arena.  We will be setting up categories that filter out the irrelevent and help novices identify more valuable pieces.

Milk-Glass.org is the website where we have started to define the organization and assemble the examples of milk glass we need to provide a site where visitors can identify their milk glass items and find out it they are something special with real value.

It is still produced and was quite popular in the past.

As a collectible it's value is linked to other factors; most of which are probably more important than the type of glass. For example, if a mercury glass perfume bottle was made by or signed by a famous perfumer, that aspect will add most of the value.

There may be many or only a few hobnails. They may be the same color as the rest of the piece, or different. Hobnail is often combined with other treatments such as satin, cased, etc. In other words, "hobnail" collectors are not limited to a narrow range of products!
