Vaseling-Glass.com is the website where we have started to publish pictures of vaseling glass.  We have a few pieces we in our own collection and we will be incorporating pictures of those plus pictures and text from selected Ebay auctions into the website.  By doing that we give novice collectors help quickly identifying the glass they have and a method to determine it's value.

It was coined by one manufacturer for their line of products.  When that proved popular  other manufactures applied the name to their version, but used the same name.  So you can have "peach blow" glass that really doesn't look much the same at all.

There is also some confusion on wheither the correct term is "peach blow", or "peachblow".  To be effective searches really need to include both variations.

Peach-Blow.com is the website where we are building out our pages and searches to facilitate peach blow identification and valuation research.  The combination of random manufacturing, seller ignorance, and keyword stuffing makes it a challenging arena.

When the cost of business went up most of the glassworks closed down or moved.

As you can see at Indiana-Glass.com the result was all kinds of glass products, produced by many different companies, which went into and out of business frequently. That makes it hard to pin down the actual identity and value of many of the items. We will be adding pages to do that as best we can.

That's a problem because cheap reproductions can easily be made which have the same characteristics as the cheap originals. I would be very careful putting any serious money into a depression glass collection.

Depression-Glass.org is our websites for this hot collectible. We have made a start on some of the larger categorys, but will need many more. With more than 10,000 auctions for depression glass items active at any one time and with the reproduction issues, a site that subsets that huge mass of auctions into manageable pieces should be very helpful to visitors. This kind of picture identification should be especially helpful for novices who don't already know the names of patterns, colors and other terminology used by experienced collectors.

The results can be very pretty.

Cased glass was made by many of the West Virginia glass manufacturers.  Whenever one of them hit upon a successful line of shapes/colors the others would quickly look to make something similar.  It makes it hard to be sure who made a particular piece of glass unless the label is still attached.

I asked my antique dealer aunt about it once and she said she tracked which patterns were known to have been reproduced and would not buy them.  Of course, if you have a piece with a known provenence that is not an issue.

Because glass can be blown into many shapes and blown from an infinite variety of glass stocks it makes a very large category with lots of items for sale at any one time.

At Blown-Glass.org we are building a site that breaks blown glass down into more specific categories and makes it easier for visitors to find pictures of glass like they may own to help with identification and valuation.

Our art glass website has not yet been converted and expanded.

Below are a couple of auction examples resulting from a search for "Art Glass". They are probably not what an art glass collector would be looking fo.  We will have to code some complex search parameters to make the results better.

On the other hand, it may be worth building out a site for AntiqueGlassware.info since a lot of folks do search for it.  Below are a couple of examples of what you will find.
