Hobnail glass is made with a design treatment that puts bumps all over the outside of the piece. There may be many or only a few hobnails. They may be the same color as the rest of the piece, or different. Hobnail is often combined with other treatments such as satin, cased, etc. In other words, "hobnail" collectors are not limited to a narrow range of products!
