Crackle Glass was what started our glass collecting. My wife saw some Kanawha glass when she lived in West Virginia as a little girl and thought it was pretty. Her mother bought a few pieces and she was hooked. Online auctions have made it much easier to continue collecting these days.'
The glass is made be spraying hot glass items with water and then refiring to make the pieces attach again. As you might imagine, the breakage rate is high.
Crackle-Glass.com is where we are building a website to help visitors identify and value their old crackle glass. Clicking the link will open a new window where you can see how we are doing.
