You might want to visit terapeak.com. At the very bottom of the page is a link to "Sample Report" That will take you to page where you can enter a search like porcelain toothpick holder and it will return results from the last seven days auctions using those keywords. It will show average sale price and a lot of other information.

As a collector you already know the best search terms to use to narrow down the results as much as possible. You still have to be careful because the results are an average and can be effected by things like condition which are hard to eliminate without reading every listing description. You have to buy a subscription if you want to go back farther than seven days.

I am interested in liquidating my toothpick holder collection. I have china and porcelain - very good quality. Can you offer suggestions? I do not have the ways and means or time to eBay. Is there a good way to appraise them?

Thank you for your time.
