Lead glass is very heavy and very clear. It makes a beautiful starting point for cut glass. Knowing what we do about lead, it's probably not a good idea to serve food, especially acidic foods, in it. It has been used for fancy glassware for many years and is very collectible.

I am interested in purchasing a lead cut glass fruit basket to replace one I broke. It was 70 years old and quite large. I am looking for one the same or very similar.
